20 SKY SAILOR March-April-May | AUTUMN 2025 I made the mistake of waiting to the last start along with many others. The winds were forecast to be switching from NW to SW as the day went on. This allowed the early starters more tailwind to TP1 with a much better cloud set up to goal. We had much bluer conditions and more cross- winds, making it difficult. I won the last start but will finish in 6th place. Attila will smoke everyone by 20 minutes, on second place Peter Burkitt – https://xc.highcloud.net/task_result. html?comPk=434&tasPk=1859 Tomorrow is looking like strong winds and storms, most likely we won't be flying. 16 January Task 2 was a 112km straight line to Narromine with strong winds. The safety committee had a difficult decision to make today, but in the end we flew. The winds did pick up as predicted, and many of us landed at goal with 40-50km/h winds. Nearly everyone made the short tas, with Scott Barrett winning the day ahead of Craig Taylor and Attila. I will end up in 4th place and move into second overall. Looks windy for the next two days, so fingers crossed we will fly – https://xc.highcloud.net/task_result. html?comPk=434&tasPk=1861 Forbes Flatlands Hang Gliding Championships 2025 Blue day before the action begins Attila Bertok launching out of the dolly
