SAFA Skysailor Magazine
4 SKY SAILOR January | February 2022 And suddenly, or so it seems, another year has evaporated and the Christmas/ New Year period is here again. For our sport it’s been a year when SAFA has successfully managed through stay-in-business projects such as significant changes to our organisational and staffing structure and meeting our Part 149 exposition goals. We’ve also put significant effort into identifying and implementing efficiencies in the manner in which we manage and secure our database and organisational intellectual property. And we have continued our work on reviewing and where possible simplifying policies and procedures to benefit members. We’ve also taken steps to provide better structure and support for our Competitions Committee and we hope to see more members engaging in competition flying in 2023. Encouraging this activity is an important element in improving our member retention which is in all of our interests. Free FAI Sport- ing Licences are available in the Members Area of our website.
