SAFA Skysailor Magazine

5 January | February 2022 SKY SAILOR Our financial position remains strong and we are now well placed to pursue membership growth strategies moving forward. For many recreational pilots, the holiday period traditionally provides an opportunity to dust off the flying gear and take to the skies. Please be safe and take the time to service your wings and associated flying gear. We all know of, and we all accept the risks associated with participation in aviation and a serious accident or worse is just a careless moment away. The SAFA Board and staff wish all our members a wonderful Christmas, a joyous New Year and safe and fulfilling flying in 2023. At Shelley Beach near Albany we saw Jiri and Sylvie Hlavaty teaching five students, with a whale just 20m offshore. We’re currently travelling around the country anti-clockwise and these are the first PGs we’ve seen since we left NSW in early August Photo: Charlie Bevan SAFA Office Christmas Closure The SAFA Office will be closed from 12pm Friday, 23 December 2022 until reopening on Tuesday 3 January 2023.
