SAFA Skysailor Magazine

17 January | February 2024 SKY SAILOR Pilots from Albany, Denmark and Perth revelled in the fine spring flying weather. Albany and surrounding areas offer great flying opportunities with consistent breezes that allow pilots to stay in the air for hours at a time, if they choose to, then top land back where they launched from. This combination of factors makes Albany flying sites some of the most enjoyable in the world. The flying season in Albany normally starts in October and extends through to May, providing brilliant flying opportunities for nearly nine months of the year. Join us soon for some airtime in WA! Sylvie Hlavaty of Albany, WA, does a perfect landing at the Shelley’s Beach look-out after a flight over the West Cape Howe National Park on Wednesday 1 November 2023.
