The tow event included a course with several varying learning conditions, launching from different places every day, and honing the skills needed to read conditions, which can change all the time during cross-country flying. More funding will be sought for future events to continue to encourage new pilots into the sport. “Paragliding is a great sport for everyone because it’s not limited by physical capabilities, both men, women, young and old can try it out,” Carol said. “You can make the sport as casual and relaxed, or as extreme as you like,” she added.
