Based on ‘Flying Crews’ of five pilots – includ- ing at least one PG5 and two PG2/3, plus two other pilots – the SoO is all about promoting skills and safety. Within this team system, senior pilots coach the novices, and handicap- ping compliments the novice scoring. The event is held over three days and the competition is open distance and direction. Pilots score points based on the IGC file they upload to XContest.
