8 SKY SAILOR March | April 2023 was from the SW, meaning they would be pushed towards the river and remaining flooded areas, however, flights of 70km were still achieved and heights of just under 10000ft. We flew 70km to Nandaly, for dinner at the pub. This meant flying around Lake Tyrell, a salt lake that is usually empty, but currently looks all shades of pink, making for good photo opportunities. It’s a hit with Chinese tourists in particular. The final day was a ‘task’ of 143km to Marong to the SE.
