Over to NSW, but still with a powered PG… #1327 – Paramotoring accident, NSW PIC was flying their PPG at a PICO Club fly-in on private property at Milbrulong (NSW). They made a number of passes over the group of pilots on the ground when their motor cut-out, at an approximate altitude of 100ft agl. They then attempted to stow a video camera while entering a steep left-hand turn before spinning into the ground. PIC sustained a fractured pelvis amongst other injuries. The PPG motor unit was destroyed. All pilots are reminded of the imperative to concentrate solely on flying your aircraft instead of attending to non-critical, extraneous equipment. You need to make it to a safe landing if something goes wrong during flight. Video cameras are definitely non-essential equipment. Pilots of powered aircraft are reminded to ensure they have sufficient fuel for their flight. #1655 – Minor PG incident: Uninten- tional reserve deployment, Qld/S PIC launched their paraglider at Teewah (Qld/S).
