SAFA Skysailor Magazine

5 November | December 2022 SKY SAILOR be thorough. It will not be solely confined to our management of aviation authorities. CASA will also need to be satisfied with SAFA’s many organisational policies and procedures, particularly where they interface with our regulatory responsibilities. This is a good thing for SAFA because it will result in us being a more professionally managed and transpar- ent organisation that is better aligned with meeting the needs of our members and the expectations of the regulator. 2022 Annual General Meeting The Board intends holding our 2022 AGM online on Wednesday, 23 November 2022. An initial AirWaves notifying members of this was sent on 6 October, and further commu- nications will be sent shortly. These will also include documents that meet our statutory reporting requirements. NSWHPA John Harriott has stepped down as President of the NSWHPA after achieving some out- standing results for our sport in NSW. His hard-driving pursuit of success, belief in the strategies needed to transform our sport, and carefully managed implementation skills have helped demonstrate what’s possible when all these attributes come together. Fortunately, he remains on the NSWHPA committee of management and will be assisting new Pres- ident Michael Stott carry on the good work. We wish them all the best in their endeavours.
