Books, clubs, magazines, podcasts and other pilots are our best way forward to develop as pilots, yet bringing this all together can be a real challenge at times, especially for those who live remotely – and Australia is rather large! Combining all in one event is a serious bonus. Our local training hill and local sites can limit us in some ways and as we all know, the more sites we fly, the more we become confident, safe, progressing/developing pilots. Welcome to ‘Go for Goal’ (GfG) 2023 in Corryong, one of Australia’s gems for free flying. A combination of small mountain ranges, valleys, towns and roads make Corryong a wonderful place to hold AAA competitions and XC courses, not to mention the fact that the locals like us! Well, nearly all of them. Now combine such a wonderful place to fly (for all levels) with a well organised series of practical and interactive sessions and retrieves, all supported by a great group of mentors.
