Sanctions: SAFA sanctioned Cat B, specifically for EN A, B and C class paragliders only. Location: Trundle, NSW, showground is again our headquarters with launch strips covering all wind directions within 10km of HQ. Practice day: 16 March 2022, followed by 4 days of competition. Registration: Airtribune to secure your spot. Description: The highly popular Wings Out West (WoW22) is returning in March 2022 after drought and Covid cancellations. This comp is designed to let you ease into more senior PG competitions without the anxiety of difficult tasks, flying in a launch gaggle before start, worrying about retrieves, and with easy re-launch options. If you’re unsure whether you can manage GPS naviga- tion, WoW22 has senior pilots to help mentor you in this skill. Open to all SAFA registered PG pilots with ground tow endorsement. In past years, we were able to fly tasks on all competition days and flying the flatlands is a great experience. There are only 35 pilot spots which generally go quickly. Join us for Australia’s only PG ground tow competition and some serious thermal fun.
