On Day 4, he flew a brilliant race to 13th place, but due to scoring rules, didn’t count towards the team’s score. Vic finished 57th overall and showed huge potential. No doubt we’ll see more of him. Steve Crosby’s second Worlds was his first full campaign after an injury ended his debut on Day 1 in 2023. Quiet grit all week, and on Task 3, he scored for the team. After a hard landing in goal on task 4 and stitches to his knee, Steve struggled to fly true to form after the injury, finishing 71st overall, and adding priceless team spirit. Beyond the scoring six A further three Australians proudly flew the flag: Brod Osborne was in his first interna- tional competition. No one was more excited to be at the Worlds than Brod. Every day brought a new challenge and a new valuable lesson to learn. On Task 5, Brod made his debut goal at a Cat 1 Worlds, 63rd overall in Open Class. He shares his story on page 34.
