4 SKY SAILOR September-October-November | SPRING 2025 President’s Update by Alistair Dickie I’m writing this as another cold winter blast keeps us grounded in Canberra for the weekend – but it’s giving me time to reflect on some exciting developments ahead. We’ve recently released our new Strategic Plan 2025, which outlines SAFA’s key priorities with a strong emphasis on delivering clear direction and practical outcomes for pilots. It’s a plan designed to focus on what matters most: supporting safe flying, providing clarity in our objectives, and ensuring our approach continues to strengthen and grow our flying community. You can find the complete plan on the SAFA website . Over the coming months, most clubs and regional associates will be holding their annual general meetings. In the next few weeks, we’ll also be announcing nom- inations for positions on the SAFA Board, ahead of elections scheduled for later this year. Volunteering is a fantastic way to give back to the sport and become more involved in our flying community – get involved if you are interested in contributing.
