SAFA Skysailor Magazine
31 SUMMER 2025/2026 | December-January-February SKY SAILOR – epic PB heights were achieved by some (see CC’s article last issue), my personal thermostat limit was at 3300m. Sadly, too soon I had to land, defrost, and pack up for home, but not until I got my fill of moun- tain tops for as far as the eye can see. My thanks to Roger, Rohan, Bec and the rest of our group for the care and company provided in the air and on the ground. I met up with my son in Munich to fly home, a route that avoided growing conflicts and disruptions in the world, and took us past Mt Ararat (3611m) in Türkiye – ancient and beautiful. Long before we touched down, we were both already planning our next trips. had me running on low batteries and when we headed to Kronplatz in the Dolomites, I decided to take a day off, have a leisurely lunch with a view, and take photos of everyone else enjoying themselves. Our last day was a boomer!
