SAFA Skysailor Magazine

55 SUMMER 2025/2026 | December-January-February SKY SAILOR EASA are facing the same challenges we do, but the regulatory environment and responses in Europe are vastly differ- ent to what we face here. And who knows what future technology advances, adaptations and solutions will appear in the coming decade. Conclusions Don’t panic! Seriously. This topic has a long way to go. A report back to Government on the consultation is due before the end of the year. How quickly events move from there is unknown and will depend on how committed Minister King and the Director of Aviation Safety in CASA, Pip Spence, are to act on this. Be assured, we are keeping a close eye on this and other matters, and we will continue to advocate in the best interests of all SAFA members as well as the aviation community.
