22 SKY SAILOR June-July-August | WINTER 2025 by Catherine McMillan Oh, the excitement and happiness as the entire audience of Bald Hill erupted with applause, cheering and hooting as the tandems launched with their thrilled passengers! Shouts of delight echoed from the air as the passengers expressed the exhilaration of their feet lifting off the grass and into the sky for the first time. On Saturday, 3 May, FlyStanwell hosted a fami- ly-fun-filled day to encourage partners, kids and all family members to connect into our FlyStanwell Club community and experience the joy of flight for themselves. Seven of our Club’s sports tandem pilots volunteered to facilitate free tandem flights for the family of our financial club members.
