23 WINTER 2025 | June-July-August SKY SAILOR day – due to a change of date because of weather – 25 tandem flights were shared. Several of the free tandem flight recipi- ents subsequently indicated they will sign up to do their PG course, including Pawel’s daughter, Hanya Olas, who said: “I loved the flight, it was amazing. It’s inspired me to study and learn about paragliding to be able to get my own licence. Thank you for the experience!” To add to the vibrancy of the day, participants were encouraged to fly in fancy-dress and prizes were awarded. There was a kids tent full of colourful activities for the little-ones. To keep the competitive, big kid pilots entertained, a spot landing comp target was set up on the beach. Several of our talented tandem pilots managed to land their passengers on the target, which was awesome! The day concluded with a club BBQ down in the LZ, where music, food and beers lay the perfect foundation for story telling about the magic moments that created the day’s success. It was a wonder- ful end to a very busy day; full of happi- ness as our community united to share the joy of flight with the ones we love. Photos: Catherine McMillan
