32 SKY SAILOR June-July-August | WINTER 2026 who landed earlier in the day were able to relaunch later in the afternoon and chase the leaders. A large number of pilots pushed deep into the Upper Horton region, making for some interesting retrieve missions thanks to the maze of dirt roads and patchy phone reception throughout the area. Across the competition, 26 PBs were set on Saturday alone! The top scores for the day included Fun Class pilots Morteza Toofan and Cara O’Connor, who flew 138.8km and 138.3km respectively to score 416.5 and 414.8 points for QLD and NSW. Meanwhile, QLD Sports Class pilot Charlie Williams put in an enormous performance by flying 193km, scoring 386 points, and setting a new PB! While the Barbarians continued to fly strongly, Saturday very much belonged to the Cane Toads who had an absolute cracker of a day, with pilots from every class logging huge flights. After two massive flying days, the overall standings sat at 225 points for the Barbar- ians, 224.9 for the Cane Toads, and 163.3 for the Cockroaches. Just a terrifying 0.1 point gap between the Barbarians and the Toads heading into Sunday. Very healthy for everyone’s blood pressure!
