15 AUTUMN 2026 | March-April-May SKY SAILOR Day 2: High, fast, and windy The second task served up 147km out and part-way back, with booming climbs pushing pilots above 10,000ft. A strong crosswind-up to 25km/h-added another layer of difficulty, especially for those who found themselves low and drifting downwind at the wrong moment. Curt Warren flew a textbook race out front, avoiding the traps that caught many others, and earned a full 1000 points for the day. I followed in second, with Steve Crosby again showing consistency in third. By the end of day two, fatigue was setting in-but the competition was only heating up. Day 3: Personal bests and a 251km test Task three delivered yet another monster: A 251km goal that turned into a day of personal bests across the field. Fourteen pilots made goal on a fast, efficient day of racing. Attila once again proved unstoppable, claiming the day win ahead of Rory in a razor-close second, with Curt taking third.
