6 SKY SAILOR March-April-May | AUTUMN 2026 The Corryong Cup Hang Gliding Competition started off the new year’s flying season as usual. The comp has been running for over 40 years and HG Comps Inc are proud to still organise and run this best attended, friendliest and most fun hang gliding competition in Australia. This year the competition was full with 75 pilots registered from Australia, Norway, Netherlands, USA, England and Ireland! Early registration was held at the Black Sheep Café in Corryong, from 8 to 10am on the practice day, 3 January. Pilots picked up their goodies, including a T-shirt, lolly snakes, bar of soap, and a coffee voucher, to start off their flying day. Our sponsors included Mount Beauty and District Bendigo Bank, Black Sheep Café, Podiatrist’s Own, Family Chiroprac- tor, Moyes Gliders, and Corryong IGA.
