18 SKY SAILOR January | February 2022 Starting in September 2012, we have now completed 50 courses over the last 10 years and one month! A big thank you to Larry Jones, CFI of Adelaide AirSports at Strathalbyn, for hosting this, our milestone 50th course, and also to Southern Districts Flying Club for allowing us continued use of their fantastic clubrooms. Since we first arrived at Strathalbyn in November 2014 to hold a course, it has been our sole venue in South Australia, and since then, we have held a total of 14 courses plus a ‘Return to flying workshop’ there. Larry Jones has been our most supportive CFI and for each course he has given up his time to get both aircraft and practical tasks ready. He has always helped us run a very smooth course in Strathalbyn, regardless of the weather and so it has long been our ‘Home’ venue for these courses.
