SAFA Skysailor Magazine
17 March | April 2022 SKY SAILOR sessions on beginner, cross-country, flying preparation and general life tips to attendants and a greater audience as the talks were live- streamed on Facebook. We can’t thank Jonny and Vic enough for their input. Thanks to John Harriot and the NSWHPA for the donation of a defibrillator to Vic HG Comps so that we can have it available at the Corryong Cup, Birchip Flatter than the Flat- lands and… maybe the Bogong Cup if all goes according to Phillip Campbell’s master plan. The owners of the bomb-outs, goal pad- docks and other strategic pieces of land were given beer and chocolates with thanks for having us, and the VHPA covered the cost of two new fence stiles. These have been engi- neered and certified to Australian standards and cost around $2000 each to produce. We may have more next year? Next year’s dates for the Corryong Cup are 7 to 14 January 2023, with the possibility of a fly in at Bogong to gauge interest in the resus- citation of the Bogong Cup in 2024. The chance to fly with our chums from around Australia was the best feeling after a year of restriction. Hope to see you all again next year!
