We have to take them all seriously. We’ll take a closer look at what this means in some case studies a bit later in this article. Audit and Surveillance Manual (ASM) The Audit and Surveillance Manual describes the measures we take to ensure that certain authorisation holders are continuing to perform their functions in a safe and appropriate manner. It also describes how we conduct audits of certain authorisation holders within SAFA. Flying in the Dolomites in 2020 Photo: Billy Miller-Macleod Enforcement and Disciplinary Procedures Manual (EDP) Throughout all of our Part 149 documentation, in the Preliminary Section of each of the manuals, the following statement is repeated: Authorisation holders must comply with the manuals, rules, policies, regulations, and related documentation of the ASAO, and associated Civil Aviation Safety Regulations and requirements. The EDP describes what you can expect to happen if you do not pay due regard to that statement.
