24 SKY SAILOR March | April 2024 In keeping with the stunning beauty of Wanaka, the festival encourages everyone to participate in its ‘Plant a Tree and Grow a Forest’ project on-site. The event also pro- motes a ‘take out what you bring in’ rule for all provisions (note: strictly no glass permitted). Children under 12 are welcome for free, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. The festival facilitates a Flying Fairy Candy drop for the kids, a heli bump club fly-in, sky- diving and food trucks galore. Live music will be provided by Ord Road, a local reggae band, along with DJs Boaz (disco’s not dead) and Waz (everyone’s favourite DJ). Saturday’s festivities kick off with the Acro Fest finals, followed by a free-flyers’ ‘expres- sion session’. The Execs, local rock legends, will take the stage for live music, accompanied by DJ Sion (Simon Shae Burning Man), Brukisan, Pilot (DnB), and more to be announced. Sunday’s wind down wraps up the week- end’s adventures and friendships, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories. The Magic Land Adventure Sports Festival is a family-friendly event.
