SAFA Skysailor Magazine

21 May | June 2021 SKY SAILOR This year’s event was held on the back-up weekend of 5 to 8 March (due to the original weekend's suboptimal weather forecast) and saw 17 PG pilots, five HG pilots and two PPG pilots all get plenty of time in the Tassie air. With the valued support of family and friends who came along to retrieve drive, all were able to make it back to base camp in time for the evening debriefs and cold bevvies! The momentum for this Tassie flying event shows no sign of slowing either, with enquiries already coming in from NSW and Victoria regarding next year’s event. With the evolution of the event format shifting focus towards bringing pilots together for a fun, relaxed weekend of flying and socialising rather than upon an XC driven/ focused format, you can expect to see a renaming of the event next year. The event organisers welcome pilots of all skill levels to join us in 2022. Keep an eye out for more information early next year. We hope that you will come and join us for a fun filled Tassie event.
