7 May | June 2021 SKY SAILOR Marnie was on the tools, snapping photos of all the colours and action. Rowan launched his tandem with his daughter and she was all smiles and waves. Susy flew tandem with Bluey in her first flight at Beechmont. Amanda got amongst it, thermalling to base. Sonja and Alice launched and, look, there’s Molly still flying across the sky at base taking in the view at Beechmont on her first real flight at the site. Laura had a beautiful launch and an extended glide to the landing field, building confidence back in the saddle. Natalia rocked up ready to go, flying and hiking up a couple of times over the day, far out-flying her partner (as usual). Alice, Sonya, Ali, Alex, Tess and Carol were in the next group to launch with soaring and thermalling in a large group of club pilots. A few trickled over the back to Hinchies, but the next valley looked dark and ominous. A few top landed and a couple trickled down to the landing zone to get the next run up in the bus.
