If you’re a HG-Supervised or PG2 pilot, you need to be supervised for each flight. You still need to obtain the agreement of a senior pilot to supervise you. Pilots who can supervise you include Instructors, Safety Officers and Duty Pilots, and other pilots who meet the following criteria: • Rated PG4 or HG-Intermediate, and • with a minimum of 50 hours flight expe- rience when flying at a familiar site, or • with a minimum of 80 hours flight experience when flying at sites/flight locations at which they are unfamiliar. These are considered minimum stan- dards, and some clubs will have more site-specific rules about who can supervise. Check the site ratings You can still only fly at a site rated as suitable for a supervised pilot. Why? Because you are at the very beginning of your flying journey, and there is still much to learn.
