While in the air, pay attention to what the other pilots are doing, but stay within the flight path parameters discussed in your briefing. We see reports where pilots have followed very experienced pilots on a flight path or carrying out advanced manoeuvres that are not appropriate for their wing or experience and ended up in trouble. Keep an ear out for any calls to you on the radio. An important point to note: if your supervisor must leave the site and cannot hand over to another supervisor, your flight is over; you must land. Debrief after landing After you have landed, seek a debrief with your supervising pilot. Make sure you note your supervisor’s name; you will need to list them in your ‘Online Logbook’ entry for the flight. Remember, you cannot fly until you have a suitably qualified pilot agree to supervise you. You must seek agreement from a supervising pilot before each flight.
