SAFA Skysailor Magazine
57 SUMMER 2025/2026 | December-January-February SKY SAILOR Our sports need all of us to maintain membership to ensure our future. We thank those that donate their time and effort to the success of our sports – the Club and Regional committee members, those that organise many events around the nation, those support- ing our safety system, and also the many unsung volunteers that contribute to our sports in myriads of ways, either on the hill, at the field, or at home. Membership fees The total annual membership fee equals SAFA member’s fee plus Regional Devel- opment Levy (RDL) (varies by Region). SAFA – Annual SAFA membership fees are set by the Board. Absent Board direc- tion, fees are adjusted in accordance with the trailing CPI on 1 September each year. RDL – The levy is usually set by the members or by the committee of the Regional Association of your residence. SAFA does not set the levy amounts. See the fee schedule for details. The RDL is used for projects such as site development and maintenance, site access leases and permits, pilot development, equipment, events and other programs. Contact your Regional Association for a description of the objects, purposes and uses of RDL and how members or clubs can apply for funding. Aircraft fees Aircraft over 70kg (e.g. usually dual seat Weightshift Microlights or Powered Paragliders) are required to be listed (aka ‘registered’). Listing fees are separate from membership annual fees. Renewal protects our future If your membership has only recently expired, you can renew your membership by logging into your account with your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, just follow the recovery procedure on the log in page.
