19 WINTER 2026 | June-July-August SKY SAILOR Final Results Overall 1. Adrian Bosco 2. Stuart McElroy 3. Chris Sutton Category Winners Over 60s: Chris Sutton Under 30s: Wiley Warren climbs to 8000ft, but the day proved trickier than expected. Jonas launched early and stayed over the field to help keep pilots together as others launched. With many newer pilots in the field, the focus, once again, was teamwork. Doug suffered two weak link breaks on tow and was left behind, but still managed to double his distance again – another PB! Out on course, a cooperative gaggle formed with Chris, Mike, Brianna, Sharat, Jakota, Jonas and Jonny working climbs together. Just 15km from goal, the air suddenly went quiet. Chris and Mike glided off searching for one last thermal, but eventually landed short. Jonny climbed high with Jakota, and the pair committed to final glide. Jakota reached goal with just 100m to spare. Jonas stayed behind, helping Brianna and Sharat climb out. He nearly made goal, landing 100m short, while Sharat landed about 400m out after a fantastic flight. Jason Langstrom, who had started earlier, was the first pilot into goal. Our scorer, Stuart McElroy, arrived last, but ultimately secured the day win, narrowly beating Jakota and Jason. A weekend of breakthroughs By the end, the numbers were remarkable: • 11 of 20 pilots flew their longest distance ever • Six achieved their longest duration flights • Seven reached their highest altitudes • Six entered in their first competition Pilots celebrating milestones included Wiley, Jakota, Doug, Brianna, Bluey, Hum- phrey, Sharat, Jason, Ian, Mike and Jimmy. Winners are grinners
