14 SKY SAILOR March | April 2022 Well, they’ve done it again! Vic HG Comps Inc. have run a super successful Corryong Cup hang gliding competition from 9 to 16 January 2022. Unlike last year, when they ended up with only 37 pilots due to Covid border restrictions, this year saw nearly 60 pilots take to the skies around the township of Corryong. Covid restrictions only hampered slightly what was a very successful competition with five days of awesome flying. Several pilots who felt unwell, did the right thing and isolated and tested for Covid. Fortunately, the competition had no positive cases to report, however, the Covid safety officer Tracey Meyer was ever on guard, giving stern glares if it looked like any physical contact was about to be made.
