11 SUMMER 2025/2026 | December-January-February SKY SAILOR It was also a delight to see Curt Warren, representing the newly formed Moyes Hang Gliding Academy, carry out an Aerotow Endorsement for three new young pilots, a seamless and inspiring highlight that added a fresh dimension to the weekend. Of course, none of it would have come together without strong coordination and dedication behind the scenes. A heartfelt thank you to Vicky Cain and Jonny Durand for their coordination brilliance, the team captains for maintaining morale and struc- ture, and especially to the tug pilots Blaine and Marko for their tireless work. The camaraderie, skill-sharing, and willingness to pivot when conditions demanded, made this year’s Forbes Team Competition a memorable and growth-oriented experience. I’ve come away with sharpened flying technique, new friendships, and renewed excitement for next year’s flatlands fun.
